When is Britney's new single being released?

Ok. So far we know think its called Hold It Against Me, it is produced by Dr Luke and Max Martin, and the first line is "Hey over there, please forgive.."

Oh, and if it wasn't implied, it is also one of the most anticipated releases of 2011.

So when the heck can we hear Britney's new song? While the blogs have been in overdrive with rumours of a release on 3 January 2011, we now have some evidence that it may actually be released on 7 January 2011. This evidence is from a (real?) scan of the upcoming Entertainment Weekly magazine in the US whereby radio station Z100 confirms they have not only heard it, but are waiting to play it. See below:

In addition to this, Billboard.com seemingly confirmed via twitter and feature that the single would premiere on 7 January.
